My research interests focus on understanding the environmental, behavioural and genetic mechanisms that influence organismal movement. Movement is important because it manifests itself as biodiversity through the redistribution of populations, and thus geneflow, in space and time. Exploring factors that influence movement and how movement feedback on those factors therefore offer unique insights into how animals evolve and adapt to changing environments.

There are three main themes that drive this research:

• Behaviour genes and their role in phenotypic evolution (e.g. adaptive radiation, resource polymorphism)

• Population dynamics in changing environments
